St. Mark's Welcomes Students!

Welcome back to school! St. Mark's welcomes all students to experience the richness, depth and special community that we have to offer.  Founded alongside the town of Berkeley and given a convenient location to campus, St. Mark's has always been a home to Episcopalians affiliated with the university.  In the 21st century we recognize that we can be and are a home to people on a wide variety of spiritual paths.  Whether you are seeking a deeper intellectual engagement with the challenging, occasionally problematic and often rewarding texts of the Christian tradition, participation in beautiful music and worship, opportunities for community service or simply to find a new family in Berkeley - St. Mark's opens her doors to you. Drop in on any Sunday and/or sign up (below) to receive our weekly bulletin and monthly newsletter. Find out more by checking out our website or by sending an e-mail to the parish office. Our parish also works closely with the Episcopal/Lutheran Campus Ministry at University Chapel. If you wish to learn more about programs specifically tailored to studnets then contact the chaplain, Tom Poynor.

Hot Meals for the Hungry

On the third Saturday of each month, volunteers from St. Mark's and the wider community cook for 120 guests. The volunteers work in two shifts. From 1:30-4 p.m. volunteers set tables, prepare and cook the meal, and prepare box lunches. From 4:30-6:30 p.m., volunteers serve the meal and clean up.

All volunteers are welcome, including one-time or walk-in volunteers. Call (510) 848-5107 for further details or just show up and introduce yourself.

Cole Porter Concert and Sing-Along
