Free parking is available in the St. Mark’s garage (entrance on Durant immediately east of Ellsworth) until 1 pm Sundays (later on Evensong days). There is additional free parking on Sunday mornings directly across Durant by the dental office buildings. The formerly free-on-Sunday-mornings University of California lot under the Recreational Sports Facility on Bancroft Way, across the street from the church, now charges $1/hr. Street parking is usually available on Sunday morning (2 hour or metered other times).

All of Saint Mark's public areas are accessible. There are two access ramps from Bancroft Way on the north side of the church into the Parish House (church office and library) and into our worship spaces (chapel and nave). There is elevator access from the parking lot to the patio, Parish House (church office and library), and the upstairs parish hall. A wheelchair lift in the chapel provides access to the altar area inside the church. Accessible bathrooms are in the Parish House and in Hodgkin Hall (south side of the patio). Audio loops for the hearing impaired are available from the ushers during services.

From Oakland and South Berkeley streets:

1. Take Shattuck Avenue north until you reach Durant Avenue.
2. Turn right onto Durant Avenue.
3. Go two blocks to Ellsworth Street.
4. Cross Ellsworth Street and turn IMMEDIATELY left into our parking garage.
5. Stairs from parking garage go up to courtyard.

Alternate From Oakland and South Berkeley streets:

1. Take Telegraph Avenue or College Avenue north until you reach Bancroft Way.
2. Turn left (west) onto Bancroft Way.
3. Two blocks to the west from Telegraph Avenue is Ellsworth Street.
4. A UC Berkeley parking structure is on the right, under the Recreational Sports Facility.
5. Alternately, continue west to Fulton Street and turn left
6. Turn left again onto Durant Avenue and drive one block to Ellsworth Street.
7. Cross Ellsworth Street and turn IMMEDIATELY left into our parking garage.
8. Stairs from parking garage go up to courtyard.

From North Berkeley streets:

1. Take Shattuck Avenue South until you reach Durant Avenue.
2. Turn left onto Durant Avenue.
3. Go two blocks to Ellsworth Street.
4. Cross Ellsworth Street and turn IMMEDIATELY left into our parking garage.
5. Stairs from parking garage go up to courtyard.

From Highway 80/580 (Eastshore Freeway):

1. Take the University Avenue Exit.
2. Follow University Avenue toward the Berkeley Hills.
3. Turn right on Shattuck Avenue.
4. Follow "North Berkeley" directions above.

Public Transit:

Saint Mark's is served by the AC Transit buses on the following routes: 7, 40, 40L, 51, 51A, 51M, 64. All of these routes stop at the Berkeley BART station.

Coming from Berkeley BART (and northern/western parts of Berkeley), the bus stop is at Durant and Ellsworth Street, on the southwest side of the church.

Coming from Oakland, southern parts of Berkeley or Rockridge BART, the bus stop is at Bancroft and Ellsworth Street, on the northwest side of the church.

Walking Directions from Berkeley BART

1. Walk South on Shattuck Avenue to the corner of Bancroft Way.
2. Turn left and walk up Bancroft Way two blocks to Ellsworth Street.
3. The Church is on the far right corner as you walk up Bancroft.
