Adult Formation (or Adult Education)
ADULT FORMATION, or Adult Education, the strengthening of each person’s understanding and faith, is strongly emphasized at St. Mark’s, where most parishioners are readers and thinkers, and some are also instructors or students at the University of California (our “neighbor across the street”) or at other institutions of learning.

The Adult Formation Committee sponsors many different kinds of activities. Especially popular are our one-hour “forums,” held after the 10 o’clock Sunday service. (See below for a partial list of forums.)
Other activities include the Book Discussion Group; occasional dinner-and-discussion evening events; prayer and Bible study groups; and the Inquirer’s Class for confirmands and others. The Adult Formation Committee also assists in the planning of St. Mark’s annual Parish Retreat.
We are currently seeking new members; all are welcome to join us.
